Another reason to love this woman.
Adele recently visited a terminally ill 12-year-old girl named Rebecca Gibney who is blind and has cerebral palsy. The young girl who lives in Ireland was visited by the one and only Adele, following her opening night of her world tour.
The girl’s mother, Tracy, recently launched a Facebook campaign explaining that her daughter “can’t walk or talk,” and is “tube-fed and bed-bound.” She added, “She listens to Adele from when she gets up in the morning until her bedtime… All I am asking for is for Adele to FaceTime wee Rebecca or send her a video message.” But the singer did more than that on Tuesday when she sat by the girl’s bedside and talked to her.
“My daughter got to meet the person that she loved, and that’s what I’ll always take with me for the rest of my life,” Tracy told the Belfast Telegraph. “Adele played with her hair and held her hand… She was really lovely.” Tracy also noted to the BBC that Adele’s visit was an “amazing” experience that she’ll “never forget,” adding, “I do know that when Rebecca passes away, she did get her dream come true.”
